Taylor began pursuing her education by obtaining a four-year certificate in Christian Ministry and Leadership from the International House of Prayer University (IHOPU) in Kansas City, Missouri. The focus of her studies was on theology, biblical literacy, and leadership.

Later, she attended Oral Roberts University (ORU) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she graduated with Master's Degree in Licensed Professional Counseling. Her graduate practicum and internship experiences were conducted from Dallas, Texas in a private practice setting, where she provided counseling services to children, adolescents, and young adults.

Taylor began working as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Lana Bagley, LPC-S, in various private practice settings in Dallas, Texas, where she lives.

Currently, she is a PhD student in the Counseling and Psychology program at Regent University, where she is advancing her expertise in Biblical Counseling and intends to conduct research concerning the effects of prayer on mental health.

Outside of counseling, Taylor enjoys going for walks with her energetic golden doodle Charlie, listening to podcasts on theology or relationships, reading, traveling to new destinations, or catching up with long-distance friends over phone calls.

Taylor Rheker

The significance of our name resonates with a personal journey and our mission as a counseling practice. The initials “JP” honor my brother, Jordan Paul Rheker, who took his life by suicide in 2011. His life and story has had an influence on the foundation of this practice.

In years after his death, I recognized an invitation for redemption— to help others navigating their own valleys of suffering, depression, hopelessness, and discouragement. This invitation became the catalyst for creating a place where individuals could find support and a path toward restoration in their own lives. The name JP Restoration embodies this vision: to see lives saved, people set free, and beauty emerge from ashes.

The mission of JP Restoration Counseling is to provide a place for the heart experiencing emotional pain, loss, or grief. We believe in the power of restoration—that therapy can be a tool to help individuals reclaim their lives, rediscover joy, and embrace a future filled with hope.

Jordan’s memory inspires our dedication to creating a therapeutic environment that fosters freedom and belonging.

At JP Restoration, we are passionate about helping the brokenhearted find wholeness, the grieving find comfort, and witnessing joy. We are committed to helping individuals navigate through various life transitions, gain self-understanding, and overcome obstacles. It is our goal to create a safe place for you to be heard, feel seen, and find freedom to live wholeheartedly.
